...And he's sick.
One of the most criminally underrated players out there. He's on the MD Fest bill this year, though, so that'll probably change...

Anyone know the story behind "Tears of Joy" he seems to play it alot, like at clinics and now DVD's. Did he write it, Styx, or some other group he worked with? Also, Is there anywhere someone knows of to get a drumless of it?

Yea he is very awesome. Only gripe I have with them (And Benny Greb) is that he has one of those damn crashes that sound pre-muffled and choked. Two of my favorites drummers too....they need to burn those crashes.

Edit- Now that i think about it, they are probably rides.

and wait a second, its released?

Good drummer, horrible band [styx].

That's a lovely kit.

Jerry Goodman (formerly of Mahavishnu) wrote it.
I haven't been able to find the album, nevermind a drumless.

I've had this DVD for a couple weeks, and it's very entertaining. Todd is a total goofball

how come everywhere i look it says release date is 9/30? But a few places say different times and his website even says 8/5 or something. Where did you get yours?

Ordered it from the States, direct from the publishers. It was released about a week before I got it, and I've had it for nearly a month, I think.

He does indeed. Approx. 3:00 he goes from a closed-stroke roll into a really laid back ride pattern, really nicely done.

I keep coming back to this vid. I love the drum sound.
