This is my response to all the the religious extremism that resides in our fair nation.

God ain't exclusive.

Why do you deserve to be right?

It's written on your heart. Not in a book!

We are each a prophet
'cause we make our own future.

There ain't no monopoly on faith.
You must earn forgiveness for yourself.

It's written on your heart. No more excuses.

God ain't exclusive.
God ain't convenient.

Disclaimer: I recorded this before I was even finished writing the lyrics, I shall better organize it and make it sound more musical and add more instrumentation if the response is favorable.

This is the politics forum ain't it? I'm making a comment that the bible banging evangelical republicans (Sarah Palin) are far more elite than one such as Barack Obama. Just thought I'd do it musically, and with enough lyrical scope to apply to middle eastern extremism as well.

She thinks she's morally superior when she's obviously not. Hiding behind the precedents of a highly interpretable biblical morality is far more uppity than asking people to consider each others' modern concerns. If I were to tell governor Palin I was atheist, should would attempt to rip into me like none other, tell me I'm going to hell and whatnot, I imagine. That's more self-righteous than Barack Obama asking people to do something for themselves.

And then McCain gets on the podium and tells everybody he's the most qualified candidate to send our military to their deaths 'cause he was tortured for so many years, which is essentially a promise of war.

The republican party devoutly holds that their moral superiority gives them the capacity to keep peace and rejuvenate our economy, but that is fundamentally flawed. We need a candidate who doesn't think that their own religious beliefs are not only the most meaningful, but that anybody who does not believe as they do is going to hell. That precedent itself is morally reprehensible in the eyes of every other person on this earth.

God ain't exclusive. The most righteous religion is one that includes everybody.

well that speculation tells me more about you than governor palin tbh but anyway

when i say he's elitist it means barack obama is smarter than me not that i think he's self-righteous that's not what elitism is

Have you noticed that you seem to think you have moral superiorty over everyone who is christian? I'm going to point out that Obama is a christian as well, just because he isn't as vocal about it doesn't mean he finds it less important.

I never claimed I was criticizing Christianity, simply governor Palin's interpretation of such. Did you watch the RNC? Have you seen the views Palin holds on government and religion?

I'm not saying my beliefs are more valid, I'm saying the conservative opinion is voiced such that their way is the only way, thus calling my beliefs and the beliefs of millions of other americans invalid. God is not exclusive. Religious truth, in its purist form, is written on your heart, not in a book, by the bible's own admittance. Just because you adhere to a self-serving interpretation of an old document doesn't mean you're automatically saved in the eyes of the all-knowing creator. God is judgement, not convenience. I'd like some accountability from these people, as a member of the same society.

If they want change; if they want bipartisanship, equality, unity, and compromise like they claim to, they will stop judging everyone else by their own standards, and listen for once.

I'm not saying I'm any better than anyone else, I'm just asking for some human respect.

If they would stop being so nosy and levying legislation that prosecutes people for things that are none of anyone elses' business, then there would be no problem. I might even vote Republican if they didn't advocate such undeserved and unproven social control.
