I leave for a couple hours and World War III breaks loose in Forum 95? There is a belief that spamming has become the norm here, and that the tolerance bar needs to be lowered in order to curb "bad posting."

I don't think we need to get that extreme, so we're going to push the reset button on the community thread, but with a couple reminders:

1. The purpose of the community thread is to interact with your other posters to discuss happenings on the site or in real life.

2. Personal attacks, even if they are for the lulz, are frowned upon.

3. No spamming.

For the purposes of this thread, spam constitutes any irrelevant, off-topic posting that breaks away from whatever on-going conversation is taking place. The posting does not have to be strictly text; off-kilter graphics, etc. can also be construed as off-topic.

Again, I do not want any extreme measures to be taken (e.g. allowing DFelon to moderate this forum even though he's a super and can moderate here anyway); however, if I (or Moz, or Dave, or Zebra, or Damrod) get the vibe that this thread is facilitating antagonistic behavior or spamming, it will be disabled and the moderators will be StageFrightKen-esque in their moderating on the reviews site, as we feel Forum 95 and the reviews site are one of the same.

While mature disagreement with one's opinion is not personal, it would be in everyone's best interest to engage in respectable discourse, because I don't want to be a dick moderator who bans for everything under the sun like SFK did.

There was spam in a bunch of threads. The picture of me was one part of that. I banned Elim and closed a thread he posted it in. As a result he created mad alts and made mad thread and in every single one posted the same pic. That died out after a while and there has been general dissent. Morrisey physically deleted every thread so it's not clogging up mod pages so it's not immediately obvioust that he made over 20 alts and threads. That's pretty much it.

While I wish I would have been able to see the review, everybody and his mother knows that Prime Meridian is Greer's alias and you can't post reviews like that in the first place! Remember your Stonewall Jackson review? You know you can't do that and while I'm sorry he freaked the eff out and decided to start moderating this forum out of nowhere, you guys know how I feel about retaliating like that.

I give you guys (I don't even know why I'm addressing everybody in a plural sense) a lot more leeway here than I do on the review site because we have this agreement that you can **** around here (to an extent, without reprimand) provided that you take the reviews site more seriously than you do here. This agreement has stood for awhile, and while I'm a little annoyed that when I left everything was status quo and now it's not, you can't act like that and not expect to face consequences for your actions.

Ya despite big losses (I mean Marcus Stroud is physically just LARGE) their defense will still be beastly. Garrard will keep that TD-INT ratio great but not 18-3 great. Fred Taylor is in trouble but MJD is there (and on my fantasy team). I think the AFC South is the deepest division in the league. I'm a big Titans fan so we get to play in the first week. If the Texans got to play in the AFC East (instead of the Pats say) they'd have an automatic 5-6 wins and take the division easy. The Texans looks like nothing in the AFC South though. I'm so pumped for this season. I'm into the US Open hard right now though. Watching Marty Fish hopefully pummel Nadal.

Each of the teams on paper has a good chance of being a strong playoff contender, with Indy and Jax being the big contenders and Tennessee (if Young can actually you know develop this year) and Houston being pretty solid bets to take the second wild card spot (would not be surprised to see two teams from the AFC South take the spots again).

I'm figuring something more like 22-6 for Garrard this year, and hopefully Jones-Drew will really break out, 12-4 for Jax with an outside shot of 13-3 and the division.

You're not going to recommend an album you think is amazing and detailed and complex to the average American Idol viewer, because they're just not going to understand it to the same way you do. Your attitude towards 5-set epics sounds more like armchair commentary than the jaded dismissal of a well-informed tennis aficionado.

from the two preseason games, favre looked like he still has plenty left in the tank and was pretty comfortable running the jets offense, something that'll only get better as the season progresses. Even if Favre isn't the way he was for the Packers the past two seasons, he's still a marked improvement over Chad Pennington

umm i can think of some huge weaknesses. thomas jones and leon washington both suck it long and hard. wide receivers are both second tier / second stringers alternating as to who takes 1st string looks. bubba franks can't get his **** together enough to start at TE.

I think Thomas Jones is a solid rb, but with Washington backing him up I see much difficulty in opening things up for Favre and his receivers.

Dude they suck it hard. That's what I said about Bubba. He has starter talent (as proven in GB, also he'd be a great familiar target for Favre) but he has underperformed for the Jets so far and isn't starting. O-line is fine. Maybe even good enough to get Jones some stats. Who knows though. Man they suck.

Well one is just naturally athletic, but lazy so he plays tennis since it's not as big a commitment as other sports and the other pretty much never stops playing tennis.
