I went to the mall today.
It was really crowded.
I meant to go to Chapters to get some Christmas stuff for my sister.
I ended up just going to the Coles inside the store.
They didn't have the knitting book she wanted so I ordered it.
They said it would be about a week and they'd phone me when it came in.
I went to HMV and asked if the A Prairie Home Companion soundtrack I had ordered had came in.
It hadn't.

I figured if I could time it right I could pick up both at the same time in a week's time, so I'm hoping that will work out.
I bought myself a new coat.
It's a dark blue thick wool winter coat.

I didn't want to feel like I had only spent money on myself so I went to Old Navy and got my sister a gift certificate and I got a new belt.
My old belt was fine but it was brown and I wanted a black one to match my work uniform.

When I got to work at the video store they were watching Big Trouble In Little China.
After that we watched Jurassic Park and then Forrest Gump.
A Chinese man grabbed two movies off the shelf and started waving them at me.
I told him if he wanted to rent them, he had the display copy and he needed to grab the DVD behind the display copy on the shelf.
After he did that he went up to the counter to rent them.
At this point he told me he didn't have an account.
I told him he needed an account to rent a movie.
This baffled him.

Towards the end of my shift the button popped off the front of my work pants.
I helped close up the store.
My dad drove me home.
My dad fixed the button on my pants.
It's November 17th now.
My 19th birthday is in ten days.

I started thinking about that today.
I thought "What if my friends don't want to come to my birthday."
