this is about albums where the next-to-last track is the better choice to end an album and the actual last track isnt as good ok???

Jawbox - FYOSS... U-Trau rules and seems way more "final" than Whitney Walks which is just kinda boring

Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear the Heart... We're An American Band is one of the best songs on the album and there shouldnt be anything else when it ends, especially not that stupid cover of My Little Corner of the World

a thread!

nope

the only ones i can think of are too fast for love and shout at the devil. not that i don't like the ballads they just kill the flow of ten seconds to love and too fast for love.
and destiny's child survivor should end after dangerously in love

and maybe killing jokes s/t
one in a million from gnr lies.

massive attack - mezzanine (because group four is the real ending to that album, not the alternate exchange)
massive attack - protection (because the cover of light my fire is pretty bad)

dr. octagonecologyst

not that waiting list is a prime cut from the album, it's one of the weaker full length songs. just because dr. octagon 1977 isn't a good way to end the album. it just turns octagon into kool keith. i'm not sure where you would stick 1977 though

Videotape is a solid song, but just pales in comparison to Reckoner / House of Cards / Jigsaw Falling Into Place, so I kind of agree with your decision.

The album seems to be incomplete in a way, besides the 1-track idea. Anyone agree? Everyone seems to love this album.

i don't know if LTIY would be better off as who cares or below the salt as the ender. i appreciate them both as closers.
