"On foot"
hammond b-3 ftw
We just got a new organist. His solo was kinda junk on the recording, but the kid really does rip.

Also check out the other two. Right now we are working acquiring recording equipment/free session time(which is how the first 3 got done) and getting our album up, since we almost have enough songs.

This thread is gonna get like 3 posts, but whatevs.

yep real b-3 the studio had one

I forgot to mention that the mixing guy took some "liberties" in the intro. He cut the guitar in and out in weird spots, and kinda f*cked it up imo. It was recorded as part of a university sponsored student music compilation cd. They payed for our recording session, but we weren't able to be there for the mixing. I wouldn't have started the song with the horns either, but he put them there on his own accord. Apparently the bassist from the mad caddies was our recording engineer, but I didn't know it at the time.

hey that's pretty cool though. Turned out pretty good for not really having any control over it.

lol no i was kidding.

it sounds good but that does not impress me. music that doesn't sound good i usually don't even bother posting about anymore.

here is what i don't like: (cause my opinion matters)

no vocal distinction. vocals to me are the character, the personality more than they are a melodic tool. the dude doing the vocals on the tracks i heard was just blah. maybe thats the style but i ****ing hate style so.

here is what i'd do:

i'd send an empty instrumental track to raayl to collab for a myspace exclusive mp3.

Thanks for the critique, I agree that the vocals on that track are a little bland, I'm feeling like harmonies are needed. Our singer has improved since this recording (it's about 6 months old, hence "newish"), he's more dynamic and confident now, but I'll let you be the judge of that when we get it together and record some more songs.

If you want to do a collab I'll look at some of the tracks I've made and see if they'd work.
