I might have been drunk... and 'Like Herod' probably messed up my hearing... but when I saw them live in April they played most of the new album and it sounded like 'Happy Songs For Happy People' if I was to compare it to another album.

Listened to about half of it so far. I'd say it's pretty typical of Mogwai, but better than Zidane and Mr. Beast.

It's definitely done in typical Mogwai fashion, I was hoping there might be some more vocals this time. Most of the songs are good, if not great. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty solid release.

I didn't check to see CD prices (shirts were 25 dollars though, so I decided I didn't like them THAT much), but it was a good show. **** Buttons were pretty underwhelming, but Mogwai was spot on, so it was good times.

That part in Like Herod made me jump a foot and I was expecting it.

Yeah, I got to see some pretty good reactions from people who didn't know the loud, crashing parts were coming. When it was a song I didn't know, I just waited to see when they'd move towards their effects pedals.

And yeah, way too much money for a shirt.

They played mainly the new album when I last saw them. Going to see them again in October with **** Buttons supporting. Praying they play 'Christmas Steps'.

They didn't play X-Mas Steps in NYC the other night , no encore either. A lot of people were pissed, but the the set rocked the sh*t. We even got some vocals with "Cody".

but either way sucks about the drummer's pacemaker burning into his skin and infecting the surrounding area and thus canceling their tour and all. havent listened to this yet
