I see the morning dew
collect the outlines of you
the corpse laying there dead
sitting up straight with no head
a body i don't want anymore
what is this sword for?
it's been soaked in blood and war
but can i write with it?
or will my censorship
prevent god's wish to scar me with his whip?
from being the last dead son
of a thousand year king
what does this life mean
what is left to be seen
For the unclean, redeemed
amputated arms bleeding and unleashing
kill the body
and the soul sings

Our bodies and minds will be raized
(I will free you from these chains)
Our souls will never be the same
(I will free you from these chains)
This war will never be won
(I will free you from these chains)
But not before we spill our blood
(I will free you from these chains)
Our bodies and minds will be raized
(I will free you from these chains)
Our souls will never be the same
(I will free you from these chains)

one one
two two
step
one one
two two
step
one one
two two
step
one one
two two
step

This war will never be won
(I will free you from these chains)
But not before we spill our blood
(I will free you from these chains)
Our bodies and minds will be raized
(I will free you from these chains)
Our souls will never be the same
(I will free you from these chains)

yeah it's "processing." lame. does that to me sometimes.

the soundclick quality is actually pretty good though, so definitely check it out there in the mean time.

Would have been cooler if it was all instrumental, maybe with the backing vocals left in. I really, really don't like your raspy talking or whatever you want to call it. sing more faggot

I'd have to agree. Your actual singing is more pleasing to the ear. And your screams(and this is coming from someone who almost hates screams now) are pretty wicked.

this is the best that has come out of raayl yet imo... collaboration or solo. the track was way better than usual, but then again i'm not too into hip hop beats.

the chorus (or whatever, the backing melody that's repeated several times) and the screams at 2:35 etc were the sickest parts.

i am considering looking for musicians to help me perform my solo material in the chicago area.

i think you should go live. imo, no matter how good sounding and well done a recording is, it can't beat a real intense live performance (assuming the artist/s can deliver one, the setting is right for the music and so on...). without getting my nose too far up your ***, i'd say the effort and sincerity you have in your stuff would transpose better to a live setting than most of the lame half-assed acts one usually witnesses at shows.

I actually really like the raspy talking. Very Mike Patton-ish

i know. the reasons you just cited are definitely things i think about when considering going live. but it's just really difficult, because my stuff is so often stylized to the point of no return. that and i really don't know anybody in this city. seriously, just my girlfriend, room-mate and that's IT.

and my cat. but she doesn't play industrial synth so god damnitt.

ty for the listens btw its much appreciated.

really not digging this one. i feel constantly distracted through most of the song and i'm really not sure why. i think there's just a general lack of cohesion throughout the song, and it comes off as fairly sporadic. things aren't really fitting...the vocal tone and performance is done to perfection, but a few of the background vox bug me. the screaming is great, which i usually like over the "raspy" voice as someone put it, but in this particular song i like the raspy parts better. the lyrics are just pretty much same old same old.

the song had a few moments, but in general it just didn't work for me. oh well, this might be the second or third time in history i've disliked something you've done.

nah

btw, since you check MX more than your email, are you available to put guitar over a cubical beat before i put vocals over it? its the black death remix from his myspace. the dirty heavy track we both wanted. i'll send the mp3 to your myspace.

goddamnit how awesome would that be

you could tour with Hatebeak too, as long as you kept the animals away from each other.

Just listened to the track finally earlier, it's a really good song. And the raspy vocals were cooler than normal.

Would you be interested in doing vox on a piece of mine? It's pretty rough, but I have to make do with what I got.

depends. i mean, i obviously will have to respectfully decline putting vox on solo bass.

Haha understandable. Faggot. But it's not solo bass. It's drums, bass and guitar.

My lack of effects/skill on guitar makes it kind of fail though. Should I send you the mp3 to hear first anyway?

Spiff: We're past collaberation and onto buttsecks. But either way you're statement still stands.

Matt: Seriously, I didn't realize you had asked first, so sweet as :) And yes it's about the most honest music to win a grammy in years.

the vocals were very very nicely mixed, but i feel like they don't fit the mood of the song, or some other pretentious explanation.

they sounded awesome by themselves, but i don't think they're quite right for the song.
