found these guys on a blog, they are amazing. think protest the hero and old human abstract for the music, with some post-hardcore, and slightly high register vocals. its amazing considering theyre not signed.

you can expound upon it some more, if you'd like. i would also say just heavier post hardcore.

i think the sweeps in the beginning of heir to the throne remind me a lot of THA, either way its awesome.

the whole ep is def solid, but i think heir to the throne is the best. but honestly, thats pretty hard to top.

i know, the music is so top notch. their guitarist is awesome, and his solos and sweeps also have really good melody.

Man the vocals are great, I love that falsetto!! Could use some juns though. =)

bowlermicah
08-24-2008, 10:16 PM
ha, yeah, a breakdown with some screaming in it would fit pretty well, but maybe they think thats a little played out, and theyd be right haha.

Equal Vision treats bands like ****
Rise, Tragic Hero, or a smaller label like that would be awesome

Dimmu Burger

Ferret would be good, nobody complains about them and they are good at marketing.

rise has a lot of bands, would they still be considered a smaller label? and yeah, i think tragic hero could use a heavier band like this... and i dont know anything about how equal vision treats its bands, i just know most of the stuff that comes out in it is quality, and i know people that would buy it just because their logo is on it.

Damn this is tight. I generally can't stand this vocal style but Phil's vocal's don't really bother me somehow. And they all look like friggin 14 years old (not really), so young and so...on point. It's so flighty and melodic, but still heavy. Awesome stuff.

theyre pretty nice, except theyre like pth sans the fast/hard parts and with electronics instead

i am seriously missing some intensity here, it's way too poppy

First 2 posts in this thread seal the fate of this bands quality.

I still enjoy them a good bit. Great stuff!

Pebster49
09-01-2008, 12:50 AM
The vocals get a bit tiresome though, I think they over did it

willfellmarsy
09-01-2008, 12:55 AM
Yea their good but by the end of the album some of the emotion in the first tracks is gone...definitely look forward to future releases however

Dimmu Burger
09-01-2008, 12:33 PM
I'm sure a good label will pick them up soon, I certainly would if I were them.

willfellmarsy
09-01-2008, 01:01 PM
yea if i was the head of a label i'd pick em up sit um down, tell them to be moar br00tal and stop wearing their sisters' t-shirts...their only problem is that their sound is really fresh and crisp, but almost-too fresh and by the end of the album, that's kinda all that's left...vocalist needs some versatility training

Dimmu Burger
09-01-2008, 01:43 PM
He could scream more and I'd be happy with that. it would make his melodies more effective.

Pete
09-01-2008, 02:07 PM
does he scream at all?

Dimmu Burger
09-01-2008, 02:38 PM
Not much if at all. I'm gonna listen again to check, lol.

Pete
09-01-2008, 02:39 PM
i dont think he ever does

Dimmu Burger
09-01-2008, 02:40 PM
Yeah I think you're right.

That's what makes PtH better, vocally at least, the contrast of screams and good melodies.

Pete
09-01-2008, 02:43 PM
also that there is some intensity in the music, IAAs music lacks conflict

THERE IS NO CONFLICT IN THIS MUSIC

Dimmu Burger
09-01-2008, 02:47 PM
True, no conflict, but it has great melodies vocally and musically. The vocals and guitars are intricate at times too, which is neat.

Pete
09-01-2008, 02:48 PM
as intricate as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq-5x-SpuLc

???

i didnt think so

Dimmu Burger
09-01-2008, 02:50 PM
