It's a dying genre! I loved Warcraft I and II, Age of Empires I and II, Command and Conquers, Warzone 2010 (my all time favorite RTS), Dawn of War (broke the mold and was awesome imo)

Starcraft annoyed me like Warcraft.. stupid pathing and AI sucked. I don't really play RTS games anymore but I still on occasion play Warzone 2010 just because I love the potential combos.

Civilization is turn based, not real time.

ive started playing Dawn of war again. actually just won a game about 10 minutes ago :lol: probably one of my favourite games ever as far as multiplayer goes. i really liked warcraft 3 as well.

of course a game of red alert 2 with friends rules.

Yeah it was great for multiplayer because it forced combat.. no sitting back and building up. I loved it for that.

Yeah it was great for multiplayer because it forced combat.. no sitting back and building up. I loved it for that.

its good how you can build up squads and give them different weapons and stuff..and of course sending the avatar of Khaine to maul the other guys troops is a laugh :lol:

Yes. I haven't played it it months but I do still have it. I would have to install it and patch it etc.. and I don't have any of the expansions for it.

My PC cant run Company of Heroes well at all. Would be nice to see it on 360, but consoles nearly always suck at this kind of thing. Not real time, but Advance Wars and Fire emblem are some of my favourite strategy games.

I used to be pretty into Rise of Nations, Starcraft, and the Warcraft series until I started playing WoW. Age of Mythology took up a pretty big chunk of my time a few years back, as well.

RA2 is pretty fun Starcraft is fun and AoK is fun from time to time

Other than that these games are pretty lame, TBS is better in basically every way

I loved the first Age of Empires when I was young, and more recently, Hearts of Iron II was great.

all in all though, I prefer Turn Based like Civilization or Combat Missions.

Civilization was fun, but my people always rioted for no good reason and it got me angry because i expanded really quickly, and then my own people would turn on me and then suddenly i would be overrun by everyone at the same time.

I've never really found interest in RTS. I think that's partially because the computer our family had was something that couldn't run anything. My brother and I played a lot of console games. We both played and shared the console up until GameCube came out. It was by that time I had saved up money to buy my own computer, and that was about 4 years ago. Because console games are limited with turn-based, I was never exposed to them.

However, I played World in Conflict just because the story sounds intriguing, which was partially based on Red Dawn.

it was but it was plagued with so many problems online i gave up trying to play it and removed it from my pc

RTS and turn based games are all i really play anymore and i dont play them much

Star craft 2 is going to be pretty good, but probably gonna be full of too many hardcore players.

Dawn of War II looks pretty badass, but it might just be a CoH clone, lets hope not.
