This brings up something I've thought about.
Are vigilantes always bad since they operate without legal authority? I assume most people don't agree with the idea of vigilantism purely because it encourages others to do the same and their methods may not be the most sensible.
legal = good
illegal = bad

vigilantes aren't accountable for their actions
vigilante justice is neither transparent nor consistant
so yeah i don't agree with it
also, dressing up like ninjas would definately be a low-cost way to make neighborhood watch programs more effective. those kids are on to something.

Ninja meth lab raids > COPS meth lab raids
End of discussion

If vigilantism was okay we wouldn't need a legal system with due process.
It's not okay to seek justice in situations that should be left to the legal system.

Vigilantism is only good if the Punisher does it.

I don't think we can condone this, but I wish more people would do it, as long as they are being smart and not hurting innocent people.

Is vigilantism ok?
What if it's not? Are you going to make a law against it?

I think there is a law against it, thats why the ninjas got arrested.

If a vigilante is a criminal, the law is going to stop vigilantes just like it stops criminals.
IE, not all the time and mostly only after the fact.
Normally it would be bad but since it's a ninja it's awesome

vigilantes exist to make up for the shortcomings they perceive with regard to the apathy shown by pigs for the proper enforcement of the law

I think everyone needs to go vigilante. Unfortunately there needs to be a natural weeding out process, excluding certain cases of human life, but there would be only very little question about who needs to get weeded out. For those who are overly clingy to their government just need to be outright exiled and sent to some solitary part of the world.

Someone needs to come shoot up my work, just don't shoot any employees please.
srsly?
no but its amazing how many people have that mindset even without realizing it.
I don't exactly condone vigilanteism, but it often seems reasonable and vindicating. I'd say it's sort of circumstancial whether it's alright.
