My god, do I love this band. Gala Mill has become one of my favourite albums of alltime, right up there with the White Album (The Beatles) and Absolutely Free (Mothers of Invention), not to say that there is some kind of similarity between them all, just that it is REALLY ****ing good. This must be emphasised.
I think they are the best band to come out of Australia since Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and I hope desperately to see them live. Anyone else dig this band alot?

Probably the best band making music on the planet at the moment. I've heard maybe like 2 average songs from them out of about 60 - they just don't fail.

New song sounds good. More in line with Here Come the Lies tuff than Gala/Wait Long.. stuff. Probably they're most blatant Birthday Party influence, but still better than nearly all other songs I've heard this year.

Still trying to get hold of something from this band. Having a hard time trying to find decent torrents atm. Been wanting to get into them for a while though.

Man, this is almost as bad as missing Mike Watt, Saccharine Trust, Fatso Jetson, Dos, and others a few months ago due to work.

I feel like this band is better known overseas than in Australia. I don't know anyone personally who listens to them regularly, not because they don't like them, just because they don't really know them.

I almost picked up a live recording of them at the record store today but didn't have enough cash to buy the more sought after records I was getting also.

i would like to get into them, what I've heard sounds great and I hope to see them with BTS and Meat Puppets. should I get Gala Mill first?

No. They're a start at the beginning band. No record has been rehashed upon the next release, though there are similar strands of sound that go through each record.

Here Come The Lies = noisy, gruff blues-punk
Millers Daughter = more expanded sound, bit more epic and a little darker
Wait Long... = a bit stranger but a bit more normal(at the same time manWOAH!!), quite sparse and haunting at times
Gala Mill = recorded before but released after Wait Long, easily the softest and saddest record, fewer songs and less noise/sweat than the last 3
