Looks pretty nice. Anyone seen it up close?

its nice to see them try new things, but pearl and dynasty seem to have that market covered. those tube lugs are hideous, and the metallic finishes are gaudy at best. the basses look to be pretty light weight, which is good, but that's about all i can say for them.

I rather like the tube lugs. Don't forget Yamaha in the grand scheme of things. Dynasty wasn't always a player, yet they've forged a market for themselves. Maybe Mapex can do the same. They're affiliated with Jupiter band instruments for extra marketing clout with schools.

I'd like this new stuff more if it was a little more innovative. These are basically the exact same things that Pearl makes (sans the freefloaters). Something new and fresh, like the Dynasty Wedge, would be nice to see.

ASU marched Quantum last year and overall they liked them. My only complaint is that tenors have rather bulky and heavy mounting hardware. They are defnitely the heaviest tenors I have used. They sound really good though, and they offer a lot of nice finishes.

The Academy marches Mapex drums this season. they sound awesome. I really like the basses, great deep full sounds, of course most of its tuning. great drums, i enjoyed them.
