My new housemate played me one of their albums, and 2 of the songs were awesome and the rest were really mediocre. Do they actually have a consistent release or are all their albums like that?

I'd day all their albums are like that. They have an awesome drummer but he's wasted in that band.

I still have to check these guys out. Every song I've heard from them is mediocre & usually quite long but I'll try and get an album at some point.

the throes and what the toll tells have about four or so good songs on each then the rest suck.
s/t has like one song that i can actually remember what it sounds like but i still like them they are sweet live.

not that i've seen them but w/e

The Throes and What the Toll Tells both have some really, really awesome songs on them and some pretty decent ones. The self-titled one isn't as memorable, I don't think.

i'd say they have about 2 mediocre songs. The rest are brilliant. Give them more then one listen
