anyone interested in a pork pie pig lite acrylic orange snare?
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Pork-Pie-Pig-Lite-See-Thru-Snare-Drum?sku=447807X

mines in great condition.

i bought it with christmas money 2 christmas's ago [about 1 and a half years back]

*reason for sale*
1 - i have a backup for now
2 - i need to save $700 more for a car asap
3 - im planning on getting a new snare with birthday money

its selling used on musiciansfriend for nearly 300
i was thinkin $250 obo

i can try to get some pics up, but my camera broke, and all i have is my really not good phone camera.

heres one from a show i played in feb.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b87/xX_selkiesTEO_Xx/Random/DSC00011.jpg

im still not final on whether i want to sell it or not, but if i get some good takers, it may help sway me.

thanks.

^^^ there may be some sort of guide on the internet, or if not then take it to a post office and get them to give you a quote.

I'd hazard a guess that it would be in the $50USD/£25 range, but I could be wrong.

don't forget about import tax and stuff as well. I don't know the specifics but its likely that you will get charged VAT (17.5%) and some sort of import tax for shipping stuff into the EU. It may not apply to second hand goods, but I'd find out before you commit to anything.

sorry i havent been on in a while... im not sure if this happened for everyone, but this site hasnt been loading for the past few days.

well... i will find out the shipping on that as soon as i can.

would i need to know an exact address... city maybe?

if its too high, we can go halfsees maybe. haha

... also...

how much are you willing to pay...
i was thinkin ill take 20 off what they were selling for before it was discontinued.

so like... 320 USD [OBO] and half of shipping [whatever it may be?]

he might as well buy it new somewhere else.

how long have you had it?

a year and a half... great condition.
they discontinued it... where would he buy it?

theres one on ebay, but not shipping to UK.

if he would like, he can try that.
also... i said OBO, so im willing to haggle.

also... you guys give me crap about selling it for more...
if you were selling something, and the value of it went up, you cant honestly say you wouldnt sell it for more...

also, im selling for 20 off the price they were selling it for used on musiciansfriend. not even the new price.

i see where you're coming from but "scratch and dent" doesn't mean used. It just means they took a few bucks off because of cosmetic blemishes.

It has obviously just been discontinued so chances are if they order it from a store, there will be plenty left in the warehouse.

I'm just saying, $320 for this snare is far too much especially when its 1 and a half years old. i'd go back to the original $250 offer.

Of course this is just me. It's your snare.

"Items noted as Scratch 'N' Dent or Blemished are primarily customer returns that may have some cosmetic flaws such as scratches or nicks and may show some usage."

the reason they have blemishes is mostly due to them being used...

IMO, i dont think that age of a snare should depreciate the value.
i understand cymbals, but its not like im hitting the shell of the snare... just the easily and cheaply replaceable head.

but i also see where youre coming from... maybe $320's high
ill go to $300, but i prolly wont be as willing to haggle.

of course, its always up to him whether he buys it or not.

IMO, i dont think that age of a snare should depreciate the value.

you opinion in this statement is highly irrelevant. you cant just decide whether or not something is going to depreciate. something is only worth what people will pay for it, not what you want people to pay for it.

T

i know it is.

what the hell do you think an opinion is?

obviously the value of the snare will go down.

thats why im selling it at a lower price than it was new.

you just felt like being a jackass for the sake of being a jackass.

^^^ i wasn't trying to have a go or anything. if it came across that way then i apologize. from your post i got the impression that you thought that if you don't think it should depreciate then it wont depreciate, but obviously i misunderstood you.
