the flame red shene of feathers
so befitted the crossbill
so enomred of pride
so tragically arrogant
what wit, gone to such great waste,
my friend, i am sorry
i pray
but perhaps youve found some freedom
perhaps the day is breething
the shadows have fled and by gods
by god, by darkness, light
rest brother
good bye

so enamored of pride

perhaps the day is breathing
the shadows have fled and by gods

Some spelling errors that are probably just due to being rushed so I won't go into great detail about such things as you're probably aware of them anyway.
Probably best to change your title to Crossbill or something of that nature so people are more likely to recognise what it is you are referring to. As for the content itself, its interesting but words that hint to things that could be explored such as 'tragically' and 'freedom' could be more illuminated. This has potential but as it stands is still a little too abstract in what seems giving a bird human characteristics or a human given bird characteristics. It's an interesting play but needs to fleshed out more.

I like the words. I would think they were cool when I heard them or read them in a lyric book. I don't think I would or do understand them. I have a general understanding and take away a feeling, but it seems so personal that I would have to be happy to hear the words, unless the song before this explained the back-story or the entire album had lyrics revolving around the same idea. I bolded what I liked and italicized what I didn't.

Even though it's short, I think it's probably one of the better things I've read. I like the feeling that it has behind it's words, it's like each word was carefully thought about before it was used.
No word had no meaning...if you understadn what I mean.
Very nice, and I'm highly interested in the title...what is it?
