I would still recommend checking with your parents and if they don't want it in their house you have to respect that. I was on drugs and my mom said she didn't want it in her house. So you know what? Wow. VF lecturing me on maturity? I got to a very nice college, I hold down a stable job. I come home to Maine for the summer because I like to be here. I like to connect to old friends and spend that time with my family. 3/4 of the year though I live in DC. Once out of college I probably will stay there and cease the multi-monthly trips home. For the record smarty pants there are several different versions of the IQ test and the one I took placed me in at least the top 20%. I honestly don't remember the actual figure.

Some are much harder than others and thus a lower score would reflect a higher percentile.

It's an almost meaningless dick measurement test and you do yourself a great disservice by saying "oh, I can't do x in life because I got y score".

For example, when I was in middle school and stuff I always scored way higher on verbal tests than math tests, but I'm a computer science major now, not an English or foreign language major. I'm good at it ... I find theorems and algorithms way easier to remember than grammar rules because you can derive almost everything. And I can't imagine doing anything else.

In all areas of the test I scored average or higher, I think it was just the verbal I scored either the 53rd or 46th percentile. So right at about average.
