Carcass's "Reek of Putrefaction" has a sweet orchestral intro and then gets pretty heavy, I think you'd like it.

Heaven Shall Burn if you listen to the first 2 songs on Antigone back to back the difference is astounding.
'Echoes' is one of the most beautiful intro songs i have ever heard on a cd....than comes 'The Weapon They Fear' and it sounds like the apocalypse

No, Opeth is slow/heavy/slow/heavy/heavy/slow/heavy/slower/slowest/heavy/heavier.

metallica has some great slow to heavy songs, actually my favorite ones of all time, and the most copied.

Fight Fire with Fire.

the slow part in Fight Fire With Fire is a more of an introduction to the album than being a section of the song.
