I am going to interview the members of ORIGIN next sunday in vienna (tomorrow in a week) and therefore you have the chance now to recommend me any questions I shall ask them...

You shall not misunderstand this thread as my own laziness of not willing in formulating/finding any good questions - It's just a chance I would like to give any Origin Fan.

(next week I will public another thread of this kind -> next week it will be Hollenthon!)

- How do you write your songs ? Group wise, ech person coming up with a riff, so on.

- Do you feel your music, which is quite technical, can get it's message through during live gigs, or do you prefer a studio environment?

- Which non metal genre influences your song writing the most?

- What are you main influences to your music? ( within and outside the metal genre)

That's it for now, I might come up with more.

Ha, nice link in the death thread... I would like to ask them, "Just how technical are you?"

and then I would be shown something outrageous. At least thats how it plays out in my head

How long do you practice a song before you're all on the same page.

2ndstranger asked some good ones

"how do you manage to write such boring music?"

"what influences do you have in composing such boring music?"

"do you ever get bored of playing such boring music?"

"Is it difficult to maintain the quality of speed and technicality each night you perform?"

"How do you guys play so effing fast?" - uninspired but watever

"Any future directions for your music, since speedwise and 'brutal-wise' you've taken the genre to its very limits, or do you guys feel you have achieved what you set out for"

Do you feel like it is hard to progress and evolve as a band when you have boxed yourself into such a niche genre?

Do you think that the tradition of Origin is still as important in today's game as it was in the '80s?

Who would you place as your Origin team of the century?

Who's going to win Game II; Queensland or NSW?

Here are the questions I am going to ask tomorrow - could you do me a favour and see if its proper? any grammatic mistakes/errors? thanks! :)

Hey! How is the tour going so far?!

Any funny stories you can tell us?

Isn’t it difficult to maintain the quality of speed and technicality each night you perform?

Any future directions for your music, since speedwise and 'brutal-wise' you've taken the genre to its very limits, or do you guys feel you have achieved what you set for?

Do you have any non metal genres that influence your songs and if yes, which influence your music most?

Let’s talk about your last album “Antithesis”: How can we imagine your song-writing process? Is it group wise, or is each person coming up with a riff or melody?

How long do you practise a song before you’re all on the same level?

Who wrote the solo to the song “Wrath of Vishnu”? It’s one of the best solos I’ve honestly heard in my entire life. Do you wrote it on a gut level or do you had an idea of the solo before you wrote it.

Who created the cover art to “Antithesis” – It looks like it would directly come out of the Alien-universe. Can you tell us anything about it?

Thank you for the Interview and the last words belong to you!

Hey Repcak,

I hope I'm not late, anyhow, if it's not too much to ask, would you mind asking them this question, "What do you think are the most essential elements in having a successful career in music?"?

Take care,
J. Daniel

Jose Daniel
06-07-2008, 10:18 AM
And also, "what advise/s can you give to aspiring musicians in your genre?"
I hope it's not much of a bother to ask these to them, Repcak.

repcak
06-07-2008, 10:26 AM
I think your questions are questions you can answer them for yourself.
essential elements? its such kind of question like technicality vs. emotion - there is no recipe for a career in music. do what you like to do, make this kind of music, and hope to get some gigs, to record your music, and play it...

I don't think anyone can give you any proper answers to your questions, cause there aren't any.

may I ask you how old you are?

Jose Daniel
06-07-2008, 10:54 AM
You are right, Repcak. I can answer them myself. However, I am curious to what their answers are since they are, after all, more experienced than I am. I am 18 years old.

Cheers,
J. Daniel

ok, lets see how the interview is going; your questions doesn't fit into my concept, but if they are nice and everything is ok, i may ask the at the end of the interview, just for you... :)

Repcak,

I'd truly appreciate that! Enjoy and good luck with your interview! :)

Thanks,

So I ask your questions Jose Daniel!

The concert was amazing - my neck hurts! The sound quality wasn't perfect but it was ok!
they played a lot of older songs, but about 4-5songs of the Antithesis to which i headbanged till no end. There were only about 50ppl at the concert (football cup) so that i was able to be in the front row.
We made the Interview and after the show i made photos with
- Paul (guitarist)
- bassist (idk his name now)
- James (the vocalist)
and Jeremy Turner isn't on tour, so we missed him.

Beside of that he talked a lot of things after the concert (James);touring in europe is much better cause you get food and other stuff like drinking during the shows - thats normal in europe, which isn't in the US and that the fans are far more friendlier and are fans who really love the music.
He ****ing doesn't like Muhammed Suicmez - he said he is an asshole, but shortyl afterwards he said, he is sorry, cause its not nice in the metal scene to talk bad things bout other muscians. he said that muhammed is a great musician, but as a person he is very difficult, and he know what he is saying, cause he had been on tour with him.

holy ****... this was the first time that i was really able to hang out with the guys of a band... great... hehe. i loved it.

tomorrow i will convert the cassette to a mp3 file and upload it and as soon as i get the pictures i will upload them too. we made a lot of photos during the concert! awesome!

Jose Daniel

repcak

no I haven't - I translated it immediatly to german, but you can listen to the mp3-file; the quality is not the best and you hear still the concert in the background, but you understand about 99% of what is said.
