Name some great Law oriented movies. I need them for my Law Independent Study, and so far I've only thought of A Passage to India and Gandhi: The Movie. Any suggestions? There HAS to be an important scene with a trial which incorporates law terminology.

Fracture.
Such a cool movie, Anthony Hopkins is such a badass, even when he's not playing Hannibal.

Good picks here, thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll rent a select few of these and watch them for pleasure and based on my own judgment pick one for the actual assignment.

OMG no joke I was going to make this exact same thread sometime this week. I have to write a paper on a movie that involves a trial. I wanted to do A Few Good Men, but it can't be a military trial since those are conducted differently.

A Civil Action
Find Me Guilty
Anatomy of a Murder
Witness for the Prosecution
My Cousin Vinny (come on!)
Monster
The Firm?
Runaway Jury?
Double Jeopardy? (that one's kind of a laugh)
Conspiracy: The Trial of the Chicago 8

And I really can't vehemently disagree more with The Trial as a law movie. It's just not...

It's considered **** from what I heard :p

The Monkey Trial was a real trial. The movie is just very very very inaccurate because it is more a condemnation of McCarthyism then anything to do with the real Scopes trial.
