Dr Strangelove and Lion King are amazing.

Curse you for putting two Tarantino movies in the same round. And I love Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz for that matter, but I couldn't vote for it because I didn't wanna vote for 6.

Shame it's coming last, but due to it being foreign I'm guessing many are put off from watching it.

Probably because people like different types of movies, among other things.

I don't see what all the fuss about Reservoir Dogs is, it was good, but I didn't find it amazing or anything.
Reservoir Dogs was cool because it took a stale genre and turned it upside down. It was a movie about a heist that showed everything but the heist.

Anyone who hasn't seen oldboy...go get it now, watch it with subtitles because the acting is too good to ruin with a dubbed version, and come back. I guarantee you will come back to this board and praise it's glory. It is too good. Toy Story and Lion King are awesome but nowhere near raging bull and oldboy.

Donnie is good but not in the same league as others on this list...to each his own but if you're a fan of good films go see oldboy...it's a somehwhat older movie that's probably why you haven't seen anything about it.
Oldboy is really well-known on this forum, man, and it's also not an old movie. It came out in 2003.

If it's well known on this forum more should be voting for it over Shaun of the Dead and Dr. Strangelove...i had no idea when it came out because my friend owns it but i thought it was older than that...my bad.
No worries, bro. I ****in' love Oldboy.

This isn't the "Well Known Films Competition".

You obviously didn't read what i was replying to silly goose. It's clearly better than all of these movies minus raging bull so i thought maybe no one had scene it and it wasn't well known. The response to this was that it's well-known on the board so then i responded with the quote u put up.

You're obviously better then everyone here.
I'm going to have to agree with that - kind of. I'm ok with Pulp Fiction winning. By that much? It's embarrassing.
You're obviously better then everyone here.
Considering I love Pulp Fiction, this comment was completely unnecessary.
I think anyone who has been exposed to a wide array of movies could agree that a consensus saying Pulp Fiction is the best movie is pretty narrow-minded.

Hardly.
a) It's favourite list, not best list.
b) People can vote for 5 films, Pulp Fiction will have the most crossover
c) I feel like some spaghetti

That's probably true, so it's a good thing this is a poll asking about favorite movies, and not best movies.

It still comes off as douchey and condescending when you question other for voting for their favorite movies.

is what I meant, thanks.
Ugh, whatever. This forum sucks.
All I meant to say is it woulda been cool if the results turned out being unique and that this forum might have a different perspective than every other teenage-infested forum ever, but that's just not the case.

how the **** is Raging Bull losing?
- Viewers can't relate to the main character, also unsympathetic.
- Downer of a film. Unhappy ending (or lack of happy ending).
- Boring plot (arguable, but I think it's fairly standard).
- People haven't seen the film.

I wouldn't put Raging Bull up there with the best Scorsese but then i've only seen it once.
And I think some people in this thread are seriously overrating Oldboy. It was pretty good but not so good for it to be a crime against humanity for someone to not vote for it, christ.

-DeNiro rocks the ****...watch the scene where he's in the hole or whatever and he starts punching the wall. Pesci threatens to stab his son with a knife...therefore there's some comic relief. :smash:
-Sad ending does not equal a non-favorite film. Raging Bull, American Beauty, Requiem...all personal favorites because of their power, a sad ending doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't b a favorite.
-Fail
-I understand that problem so that's probably the reason (or at least i hope it is for the sake of humanity)
-Extra-DeNiro

Eh, I was just thinking up possible reasons for why the film isn't many people's favourite.
But again, I've seen it, I thought it was a great film, but as for being a favourite, not at all. For me, it's probably because I couldn't relate to the De Niro's character, nor the themes. There's no personal attachment for me.
Eh. I think the results of this poll were my favorite of the 4 so far.
