In desperate need of mics for a gig next wednsday.

Will these do the trick? I can always pick up some condensers after I get some more money.

I have the Shure PG Pack and it's amazing. Go for it. Really rugged design, and they are great for live situations.

those PG's should do the job. You could also check your music store for an Apex Drum Mic Pack. Usually very cheap, great mics for the price, I think they've got a pack that comes w/ 2 condensors as well.

Damn, the PGs sold.

How about the other pack? Im skeptical about a 7pc for 100 dollars, lol

thats not a bad price for the nadys, but i would recommend selling that right after you use it.

But really that pg pack is perfect, try and find another one if you can. If its live, especially for small-medium sized clubs, you wont need the condensors since your cymbals usually overpower your drums. Just make sure you have the snare picking up the high hat, or a separate mic for the highhat.

See if you can find some JTS packs for drums. They are fairly decent, yet cheap.

Of course, a set of AKG C414's would be a bit nicer...

i can't imagine you'd actually need to supply your own mics for any gig... but whatever. Look for audix fusions, they're decent for mics that come in a pack. the shure PG's are fine too if you're doing live stuff. if you're feeling brave, find a set of sennheiser e604's for your toms, you just can't beat them.
