I just watched High Fidelity the other night and thought it was good. Not amazing, but I liked it.

What is your favorite music related movie? (that isn't just a concert dvd)

Interested to see what other people can suggest.

I also saw "The Flaming Lips: The Fearless Freaks" a while back and loved it. Check out the trailer...

The Doors is one of Val Kilmer's best. I haven't seen it in forever, I should re-watch it.

edit - and I haven't seen it but I hear Immortal Beloved is good, it's got Gary Oldman and Isabella Rosselini.

Good thing you didn't see it because you know you would have never been able to keep up with the intense plot line.

Also Spinal Tap and Almost Famous are my favourite music movies.

I'd go with High Fidelity. Because it so perfectly depicts what I'll probably become (along with some more of this little community) in a couple years.

Dude...

What? It's really nice man seriously. It becomes a really dark psychedelic movie. Especially when playing Run Like Hell, it's the same with The Wall movie. Btw I meant 1951 cartoon Alice in Wonderland not a s***ty movie.

Meh, The Wall itself sucks so it seems like it'd only bring the movie down.

The Wall sucks? Come on.... A big meh for you... Why don't you like it? Probably the first person I've seen that doesn't like the movie.

The good tracks are amazing (Goodbye Blue Sky, Hey You, Comfortably Numb), but after listening to it for years it's just gems spread out across a whole lot of filler crap.

When I first discovered that album I liked the idea of it more than the music itself, and it's still the same way. Only now the idea doesn't even really intrigue me at all anymore.

And don't even get me started on the atrocity that is the Wall movie.

Oh ok, that's a good explanation heh. Dunno I also listened to the album for a thousand times but still like it very much. Just find out this syncing with Alice in Wonderland thing, it was quite interesting, especially the parts that synchronized perfectly. But other than that my other favourite music related movie would be The Doors.

I AM GOING TO START YOU ON THE ATROCITY THAT IS THE WALL MOVIE

What is wrong with it in your opinion? I think Bob Geldof plays the part of Pink to a T. If it wasn't for the unnecessary focus on some of the more unimportant parts of the album, I'd rate it as my favourite music related movie. The visual presentation of the cartoons is stunning, the crowd scenes not so much.

Almost Famous also.
