I have a pair and they are really good. The next stuff up in quality that is worth it is the Sony one, but they are $250.

why the hell did you post?
I have both the blue and black vic firth headphones. Simply put, the blue ones aren't worth the money, but the black ones definitely are. Get the black ones (the ones with the headphone cable).

I have both the regular Blue and the corded black Vic-Firth headphones, both are the best iso headphones for that price, and the sound is awesome in my corded black ones. Go for it!

I have the vic firth iso/stereo headphones and I've always thought they were pretty good, although I've never really tried any others. But I would imagine you probably can't get much better quality ones without paying a lot more.

thats not what he said...he said they aren't worth the price.
Fact is, they aren't when you can buy any normal ones without the Vic Firth name, for much less, when they are the exact same thing.

I'm ordering a pair of these - http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Beyerdynamic-DT-770-M-Monitoring-Headphones-for-Drummers-80-Ohms?sku=272023
I found them for $150 on a website earlier, just have to look for it again...but they seem nice :o

The reason I don't recommend the blue Vic iso's is because for a couple extra bucks you can get the black ones and have the ability to plug them into your ipod or whatever. The blue ones are good if you go to the shooting range every day.

The black ones are definitely worth it. I'll be getting a second pair soon as the first pair are starting to show wear after years of use.

Good call, the black ones are great. I prefer to use them when I'm drumming in the studio as well. The industry standard AKG's & Fostex T20RP's just don't have the isolation you need to play drums in the studio. Definitely recommended.
