Look, I know some of you older members remember me claiming my IQ was 140 or 150, well, I took the test, my math IQ is in the top 3% but my PIQ (performance IQ) is only 112, putting me in approximately the top 10%.

I think SAT scores are a more valid test of intelligence than IQ
And even better is any quiz you find on the internet

its a shame really then that IQ tests, in the grand scheme of things, count for very little

They judge problem solving skills. A real intelligence definer imsure.
We just debated this a week or so ago, though.

A'levels are awful, and your SAT scores are even worse than that.
Doesn't SAT test for knowledge, not intellect?
/ignorant Canadian, might be wrong.

Well none of the math on the SAT is above a 7th grade level... The language portion is, however more knowledge based.
And what are you trying to prove, TS?

SAT's are different in Canada, though.

TS is known for making rather..silly arguments, causing people to question his intelligence. He is now proving it to us with facts.

I distrust iq tests even more than i did before now, i did the bbc test the nation iq test and got 76 lol
I like to do those online IQ tests because they make me feel good about myself. I don't think I've ever scored below 138 on those bullshits.

I imagine most people on this website would be around or below that level were they to take a real test and actually be honest about their results.
Being rational and being smart are often very different things. There are many creationists at my med school, for example.

The IQ test I took was much different from the standard IQ test. It did place me in the top 10% for that specific IQ test which is pretty decent. My math and number sequencing or whatever it is called was in the 97th percentile while my verbal was in something like the 51st percentile.
EDIT: I take that back, I don't remember if it was top 10% or 20%, I will have to check back on that.

You're intelligence based on a useless IQ test is irrelevant to your capacity to reason.
IQ means nothing. Exhibit A: Steve
