Currently in mix for the album, I posted the pre-mix of one tune before, here's where we are at now:

Everything went out and back from 2" - for the most part, we are using outboard gear, mainly a Neve and a couple Urei compressors. I'm diggin it so far.

Thoughts?

Lol, stop listening to NoFX and Bad Religion!!

I second the thin comment. I'm not really digging the drum sound though - can't quite put my finger on it.

Other than sounding a little thin, the mix is pretty pro!

That is f*cking amazing I loved that. Nothing wrong at all. What do you do at the start? Just singles? Or paradiddles/doubleS ?? Also The only thing I dont like is the snare sound but thats personal preference :)

For the love of sweet baby Jesus eating toast, loose that keyboard track. It floats in tempo and adds nothing.
For that kind of music I think the mix is about perfect.

I agree with the piano comment from Pink.
The drums sound good, but I would love to hear more of the guitar.

It's funny how the email thread between the guys in the band and this thread parallel.

We are going to beef it up a touch to get it as close as we can, but the mastering process could potentially make up for the thin-ness.

Ant - just straight singles.

Chipple - no.

Pink - you think I'm new 'er something? We've been trying to get him a keytar for quite some time now... unfortunatly it graces all songs on the album, (he writes the songs and sings, kinda hard to kick him out)

Otherwise, it's pretty frickin close to where we hoped it would go, it's been a year since I tracked my parts - exciting that we are finally getting around to mix, and that it's turning out how we expected.
