I just thought it was an enjoyable near-return to form. I mean, they'll never match Pinkerton or the Blue Album but the song had flashes of both those albums so I thought they'd be capable of putting out an album that was at least fun and listenable.

OP here, the album isnt horrible at all, its no blue album or pinkerton but thank god its not make believe or green album. its just an average weezer album, comparable to maladroit, soem good songs, some questionable songs, a few bad ones, but its an overall fun album

heart songs is sweet and cold dark world is pretty cool. not crazy about the other stuff. all the songs have the same problem. it sounds like their was absolutely no effort put into writing good vocal melodies for the verses.

I'm fully expecting it to be awful. But I'll probably get it anyway.

Thank god it won't be as good as Pinkerton, back when I was less of a man that album always sent me into near convulsions and it was so awkward. Make Believe did as well, which is something to be ashamed of.

I was thinking something similar. These songs are all b-sides and they released them just to mess with people. It would have to be a huge hoax though, cause they've already done interviews and mentioned some of the 8 songs.

Really though I like the new Weezer songs, I just really like River's voice more than the other guys'. So the other guys can write music and sing backup IMO.

I just bought the album yesterday. Songs 1-4 are pretty good. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived is absolutely ridiculously awesome. Pork And Beans (as well as the video) is great. The rest of the album is extremely disappointing.

2/3 best
1/4 pretty good
5-10 awful
