I recently got a new gaming note book and am now in the prowl for a few games. So, what are a few good, new games worth looking into?

This. Call of Duty 4's pretty sweet, but very short, Bioshock and Crysis are good too.

Be more specific about it like action/adventure/rpg or else. But definately play:

Single Player:

Bioshock
Call of Duty 4
Gears of War

Multi Player:

Team Fortress 2

Well get the Orange Box lol.

can't emphasize this enough

Besides that, depends on your taste. I don't really play new games, anyway - Angband is probably the game I've spent the most time playing in my life.

I played it as a kid and just looked at the map every time and then I recently played it without doing that and holy crap that was annoying

I think the main reason Monkey Island is better than KQ is that MI doesn't randomly kill you for some totally innocuous action

Test Drive Unlimited if you like driving games. Much better than those crap Need for Speed games.

get orange box, if you never played half life, it has all the series till now, and it is one the best single player campaigns, it has portal, that is special too, and team fortress 2... and of course with valve, you will have many updates and mods available to this games, and to the source engine
