Everyone has his favourite band, album and songs... but how many of you have a favourite solo?! :)

My Top (and only) 3: (in no order)

Kalmah - The Blind Leader
Origin - Wrath of Vishnu
Cephalic Carnage - Dying Will be the Death for me

Though Kalmahs solo is "just" a shredfest i get goosebumps everytime i hear it... for me the solo is more of a "tale", rather than just notes.
Cephalic Carnages solo is just sick and progressive... its so beautiful with so many ideas.
Origins solo is fantastic and contrary to the whole song - suddenly you have the first few notes of the solo after such a brutal and fast song... goddamn it... its great :D

The main solo for Lines in The Sand is beyond epic in my mind, I love it :)

From the moment it kicks in, it's completely amazing to me, and seeing it Live made it so much better, heh.

This thread is actually illegal :o!
Solos rarely do it for me, but perhaps Nothing Else Matters or Fade to Black, or some Blood Fire Death solos.
Also Frank Zappa's Watermelon In East Hay

Not sure if it belongs to an album. I think I had it in one of my best of zappa CDs. It was the closing song from a concert of Zappa & Captain Beefhart. You MUST listen to it if you like zappa.
