This band used to suck so much. I was looking through a blog when I read a description of their new album and the writer said it sounded somewhat like Cursed and His Hero Is Gone. I didn't believe it because I remembered them being some s'hit scene metal band. I went on myspace and I guess they do have that feel to them and changed their style completely. It sounds like the above bands mentioned if they played diagnosed with AIDS. I guess they're not that s'hitty anymore, but still not good.

Talk about other bands who started horrible and managed to improve.

improve? more like conforming to trends (based on your post above anyway)

I wouldn't really call the sludgy/crusty hardcore sound a trend...

hmm it's more the fact that they went from scene metal to crusty hardcore. I dunno, it's just weird

what

can you not read?

i was pointing out the fact that this band is hopping on the crust/sludge trend and the only bands they could name off were cursed and his hero is gone.

you don't have to know **** about crust to know about his hero is gone.

If you guys think I'm defending this band or anything, I'm not. I still think they're shitty I just find it odd how they changed.

If His Hero Is Gone is "arena crust", then consider me a fan of "arena crust".

No what the **** is arena crust

aside from being self explanatory, i pretty much laid it out in my last post

but if you have that much trouble reading between the lines

arena crust = popular crust

So this thread wasn't about the band Nights Like These or crust/sludge hardcore or arena crust. It was meant so we can discuss bands that somewhat improved so it'd be cool if we talked about that instead of arguing.

Sorry if I sound like a douche but I'm tripping on some seeds and e. ****.

this board is so braindead lately

my point of that post was this:

who gives a flying f'uck if these guys claim their new album has influences from his hero is gone or cursed? tons of bands are coming out with that sound so what's so special about them doing the same thing?

and as for you chris, why is any other band considered obscure? how many times have you heard his hero is gone and tragedy talked about when crust comes up? there's pretty "big" acts that hardly get as much attention as they do (skitsytem being one of them). don't be a bitch about the situation, you'd probably do the same thing if some skramz conversation came up and the only input that someone had to give was we sound like orchid and saetia!

nah my point was it's pretty retarded to classify a band by how popular they are and even if they are popular, they're still crust right? So if this band was influenced by HHIG or obscure crust band x, I'm sure their sound is still gonna sound like crust right? So why does it matter? I mean I understand the whole crust bandwagon argument, I just can't make the connection.
