Twilight Samurai
Zodiac
Cure
Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society
Samurai Fiction
I dunno about Samurai Fiction being mind-blowing...It's more of a comedy rather...and Cure is just a mindfark.

I looked up the synopsis of the movie, sounds extremely intriguing.

Err, American History X is a pretty amazing film. Dunno if it constitues mindblowing but it's certainatly good. I dunno if it was marketed more in america, but I've hardly ever heard anyone mention it around here, so I kinda get the imrpession it's not too well known.

Dude, I'm from the UK. What I said was that it didn't seem to be particularly well marketed around here....
I thought Edward Norton's most famous role was in Fight Club..

The blackness of my belt is like the inside of a coffin on a moonless night. How incredibly philosophical...
And I reiterate, Man Bites Dog is hilarious - the premise is by the way is an amateur film making team following the everyday life of a serial killer.

Bad Lieutenant (has the most uncomfortable scene ever, and it's not the nun getting raped)
I realize what Abel Ferrara and Harvey Keitel were trying to do with this film, but I really hated it. I rented it without knowing much about it (just that I liked Harvey Keitel's work with Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino) and ended up watching it with my dad. Horrific. It's not a case of "I didn't like it, but it was still a good film," I felt sick afterwards, down to my gut.
The nun getting raped, and the drug use, and the scene where he pulls the girls over, nothing good came out of this movie. I know that they were trying to make this movie about this cop on the edge, and it was supposed to be about redemption and forgiveness, but there was nothing redeeming about this film to me. And whenever I watch Taxi Driver and see the way Sport (Harvey Keitel) acts to Travis (Robert DeNiro) and Iris (Jodie Foster) I think of this film.
I mean, that's just one man's opinion. But I just really, really, really hated that movie.

I wouldn't say I hated it, but I certainly didn't enjoy it either. But, I'm not above recommending movies I don't like.
