He's very self concious of his voice. Never has taken lessons and honestly I believe he doesn't think he's any good. I uploaded two small samplings of his voice onto a soundclick. Tell me whatcha think!

For a heavier singing style of his, if you're interested, I have a link to my band myspace. I wont post it unless people are interested though.

I thought he was pretty damn good, especially on the second sample. On the first it sounded to me like he may have been a little off pitch near the end, but then again I could be wrong: I don't have the greatest ears and there was no backing instrumentation so it's kind of hard to tell for sure.
But whatever, overall I'd say he's got some serious talent.

Pretty good. I'd have to hear it in context really. It seems quite soulful, if a little forced. However the guy can hold a tune without a doubt. Being a power metal singer i'd like to hear him give it a bit more of a belt but again that may not suit the style. But that comes with confidence and there's no reason that he shouldn't have that. He has a good voice. Definately the type to make the occasional lady swoon.

Whats not to like. Very good control and range.
He shouldn't feel anything but good about his abilities.
Put on some Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, or Joe Cocker for him. The list of "singers" who can't sing and "made it" is a very long list.
