EDIT:I have reconsidered this matter and I've decided to hold onto the DWs, both for financial and sentimental reasons. The Gibraltar rack is what is for sale here! I never use it! Need to get it to a good home!

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

Also I never use the rack anymore. Stands all the time. I have a crap ton of clamps, extension tubing, and other things for the rack, all Gibraltar heavy duty stuffs.
What do you chaps think? I'd be willing to cut someone here a good deal if anyone was interested in anything.

The Rack is in excellent condition, and is quite massive. I've added many clamps and several extension tubing (including another massive (48"?) curved tube for the right side and a smaller tube for the left side. There are two "Legs" (one for either side of the front), and then there is a clamp for the right side to attached to a cymbal stand or another T-Leg.

Again pictures available for everything upon request!

such a nice kit. though i do think epiarch would be something to consider.

What type of wood?

i may be mistaken, but i believe all dw's, minus a few exceptions possibly, are maple.

They come in both maple and birch at the time of production [1994s].
Now they come in a number of configurations.

What price you asking for shells & tom mounts only?

How much for just the rack?

Fuzzy
04-30-2008, 02:12 PM
That depends on what all you want with the rack. The rack is quite extensive - There are loads of clamps for cymbal arms, toms, and other tubing.

For the entire deal, all tubing, clamps, the WORKS, I'd be willing to part with it for around $300 plus shipping. I know that basic racks start at around $300, but you've got to consider the enormous amount of clamps that'd be coming with this one :P Those mofos ain't cheap! If anyone is seriously interested I could post pictures of specifics, like always!

Local Pickup would be BAMF, it'd save you money!

I would kill 7 mexicans for that kit, but since they are not at my disposal I would have to pay for the kit, which is just not possible.

i'll supply the mexicans if you give me the rack. i wish i had the money. $300 is a steal for that rack.

Yeah, it really is a steal. It's kind of painful letting this go but I've got to move on to different things for different times!

A setup that is quite possible with this rack system:

NOTE: I am not including cymbal arms with the rack. You just get the rack system (tubing, vital clamps), plus all of the cymbal arm/tom arm clamps you see. If it's a CLAMP on the rack, you get it.

The Gibraltar Rack! Three sided, includes 10 clamps and an extra extension bar (pictured).
Slight wear, rather dusty and fingerprinted (easily cleaned and shined up), some chipping of paint and extremely light denting from clamps on small areas.

It looks like if you put much weight on the right piece of tubing that it could fall over, i assume this is not the case?

Fuzzy
04-30-2008, 08:14 PM
Actually yes (unless you have a large counter weight in the form of cymbals and drums on the front), I forgot to put that in there -
The right-most clamp is what I've always put around a cymbal stand to act as another leg. The rack came like that, and when clamped to a stand, is sturdier than the standard Gibby T-Legs. 3 legs are better than 2, after all.
Good question Fisheh!

Edit: Bill/Damo, could you change the thread title to "3 Sided Gibraltar Rack"? Thanks!

Just to clarify the horrible edits:

The Gibraltar Rack and everything with it are still for sale! I need to get rid of it!

im in IN how much w/ shipping

Fuzzy
05-02-2008, 07:07 AM
About $360 with shipping I'd say. The shipping is kind of pricey due to the bulky nature.

Fuzzy

Thank you Bill! I'm startin this sucker at a penny :P

'Course there is a reserve

billdrum
05-06-2008, 01:50 PM
Auctions with reserves often don't get the action that others do.

fishbulb
05-06-2008, 03:22 PM
As a bidder i'd much rather see the starting price be the reserve.

Good luck, though!

Fuzzy
05-06-2008, 04:09 PM
Psh, the reserve is so low compared to what that rack is worth. Trust me.

dude, I'm willing to take 2 clamps off your hands if that's possible. if so, how much?

Fuzzy
05-07-2008, 06:44 AM
I can't really say so right now. I'd have to wait for the auction to end, and then only if it ended under the reserve (which I highly doubt.) BUT if it does NOT sell, I'll give you the two newest multi's for about 30. I doubt it'll happen though, currently with 5 days and 15 hours left, I have 15 watchers XD

all you would need to do is get a vertical leg for it and you'd be fine.

2 bars and 2 clamps. might run you $50 at a store

Fuzzy

Alrighty, $102 with over 5 days left! 16 watchers now x_x
