Machines out its Armageddon let the heads roll
Rust away the mud to unleash the dogs of war
Corroded teeth, plastic smile as the blood falls
Raped away all the sympathy our souls mauled
Suck it up, suck it in your ****in’ empathy
It’s as useless as the lifeless warrior’s body

Really dig the beat, but for some reason I didn't think it was loud enough. I think I sort of expected a more ear filling sound. Good song, and the samples were neat. Your music is one of the few that I can listen to that is remotely political, and that's a pretty big compliment.

well done on this one. sometimes i feel like your vocals and the synth dont like to talk much, and seem like strangers. But in this one it's like they're joined.

gee thanks for stealing my title, dick.

anyway, good song. music was the best part. really charged, held me. vocals were resilient and sat fairly well, as usual. the media samples were alright. certainly not a bad accessory, but not particularly compelling either.

Not particularly compelling? The irony was so palpable that you could suck it all right out of the quotes I used, roll it into a flag shaped cookie, burn it, and go to prison for 30 years without the right to due process or ever even being told what you did wrong.

But you're right, that's not compelling. It's disgusting. It's disturbing. It's criminal.

it's not compelling because i've heard it done a dozen times over by every pseudo-political YouTuber/vlogger/John Stewart since Bush came into office. yeah, it is disturbing; but it doesn't quite bite me anymore. http://www.scouttalk.ie/0images/smileys/shrug.gif

For the record: Do you think I'm not just as equally disgusted by all the "John Stewart: lets be cute and lets be clever" bullshit? Of course I am. Hence the immense irony. But did I juxtapose that with some cute giggle-inducing one liner? Nah, juxtaposed it with brutality, blood, and torment. Because that is what war is. Because that is what our leaders have on their hands.

Thusly I don't **** around with tickles and jokes. I go after them with a sledgehammer.

EDIT: As well, war as western history has cited is a really ****ed up practice. Being crushed to death by massive stones, having boiling oil literally melt the skin right off of your bones, having your limbs hacked away by brutally serrated blades, being drowned in your own blood by mustard gas, being shredded by shrapnel and grenades, having every inch of your body burned to a blackened crisp in a relentless fiery explosion, living out your last moments thousands of miles from home with an enemy you personally have no complaint against tearing at your flesh in the name of some rich man's political conflict...

Modern "combat." Set foot in a battle-site emergency room for 10 seconds. You'll never look at life the same way again. Doctors carrying away the severed, burned limbs of human beings and putting them in bags. Blood everywhere. The walls and floor drenched in slippery red mess. Human beings reduced to screaming torsos, howling out their most terrifying moments while an over-worked and under-payed medical staff desperately tries to keep them from dying of pain and shock.

So it's real easy in this day and age to say that we support the "war in iraq." It's really easy to support a war you don't have to fight.

There is no justification for war. Anthropologically speaking? The majority of societies not made infamous by western historical scribes practiced something called "passive warefare." The objective was merely to wound your enemy, not kill them. Fought with wooden swords. Respect and kindness was bestowed upon even the most hated enemy. So to say that war is necessary is simply ignorance propogated by western determinism.

So I'm not just "poking fun" at the irony. I am exposing the barbarism. I am juxtaposing these ridiculous statements (made by what are predominately rich white-males) with the brutality and disgusting, murderous nature of war.

All my new stuff is recorded through firewire on my laptop in ableton. Ashes/Symb/TiW are all done that way.

Orchestra doesn't sound good grainy.
