I have been blessed to be in the right spot at the right time, and found a near new Pearl drum kit with alot of extras and bought for a steal of a price. Some kid didn't keep his grades up and I reaped the benifits!! $1700 worth bought for $500

Nice bass drum.
Its hard to see with all that oddly shaped furniture around it, but still.
Good steal anyway.

Ahh, reaping the benefits of the shortcomings of others. Fun stuff.
Nice kit.

I prefer to keep a body in the bass drum, you get more of a muffle.

You bought that for $500? You kinda got ripped off man, Pearl Forums usually go for around 300-350 on the used market.
And they definitely don't cost $1700 new. More around the $650 range.
Have fun with it, regardless. Drums are great. :thumb:

The lady had the receipt for 1100 for just the kit less then a year ago. It has 2 new cymbals ($162 and $140) plus extra stand ($249), snare stand and more for a total of 1700 she paid brand new.

Holy crap, she got ripped off man...
But play those drums! Bass and drums are the best combination in the way that they scratch eachother's back with the skills learned.

anyways drums are awesome. Good buy, if it came with extra hardware and cymbals.
Nice catch.
I also want a drum kit to be quite honest, nice mix being able to play both, definitely helps with the backing section if you can understand it from both sides.

a new stand does not cost $250, what kind of cymbals does it have?

The kit was bought from a "mom and pop" music shop locally. The stands and cymbals all have price tags still on them. The ride is a 16" Sabian and a 10" Splash Sabian.
