I really need to sell this. It's my baby, but i've got prom coming up, and i need some cash. Comes with hardshell case. Two minor dings, both pictured. There are some scratches to the finish on the back near the neck bolts, and i can't get a decent picture. Looking for $475 OBO plus shipping. Seller pays exact shipping costs. Paypal would be the best method of payment.
Side note: I realize this may be my first post, but i'm REALLY desperate for money. Any store that i've turned in an application at, i've just got turned down. I've got prom coming up, and a band trip to Chicago. I wouldn't be selling my bass otherwise. Also, i realize i don't have anything in the way of proving i'm legit. You'll just have to trust me as a fellow musician.

Prom isn't worth the money. Just dig up an old suit and go. You'll hate it, anyway, and a week later, no one actually talks about it.
Sell the bass locally. I can guarantee no one will want to give a total random a chance for $500. I sure as hell wouldn't. And if you can't get a job, you either need to write a better resume, or stop being a tard. Getting a job, especially at your age, is not hard. Even if you have to go tough it out at McDonalds or something.

He could spend 75$ for an hour with a hooker. Case dismissed.
Craigslist that thing. Good chance you'll find someone local.

Currently have it on craigslist. Thanks, though.

I was Prom Prince my junior year and Prom King my senior year. Does anybody give a sh*t? Nope. It was fun, but I didn't get laid either night due to circumstances completely beyond my control both times. Kind of sucked.
However, I will tell you that I completely and totally regret not being cool like this guy:

It's people like that that enjoy prom and make it fun for under $200.
I'd say keep the bass and mod the hell out of it.

Suggestions? I'm all ears. :)
I was considering swapping out the pickups because i don't care for the tone.

As far as pickups for 6ers go you'll probably want to measure them and then look at your options. There is no standard set for soapbars, and on 6 strings there are even less options. Bartolini is the only major company I can think of that offers a decent variety of sizes, Nordstrand might make you a pair if it's an odd size, and there's always a possibility that EMGs will drop in.
If they do happen to be an odd size, changing preamps could be a good idea. EMG has a few models that color tone significantly and the U-retro always is a good option. If you're not into the tone right now I'd probably go for one of the lesser transparent pres like that, could change the tone favorably for you.

I'd pop in a new pre (probably an Aguilar OBP-3), and put new pickups in, which might require routing depending on what you buy, and add a finger ramp, for starters. I've always thought blue + gold looked sexxxy, so I'd probably change all of the hardware to gold hipshot hardware.
EDIT: I just looked it up, and your bass has some EMG HZ's in it. EMG makes some active pickups with the same casings as the HZ (their passive counterparts), but I don't remember which ones they are. That is one route-less option you can take in pickup selection.
