Best Bosses

What are some of your favorite boss fights? Or hardest/most memorable? General RAMM from Gears and (finally) beating Ganon from A Link to The Past. But all the bosses from that game were great. I also liked Al Muallim from Assassin's Creed.

Out of recent games I played, the end boss to Breath of Fire 3 gave me immense trouble. I was running on empty after 40 minutes of hacking away and trying to keep alive, after about 4-5 tries I was ready to give up and I didn't particularly want to go back and level up. I tried once more, and I was down on my very last legs and just managed to scrap by which was extremely satisfying.

The Weapons from FF7 always come to mind with these type of list, had some fun trying to tackle Ruby Weapon and Omega Weapon from FF8 was a great battle as well. Out of non RPG's I highly enjoyed the battle in MGS2 where you are fighting several Metal Gear Rex/Rays whatever they are called all at once.

Unfortunatly all the boss fights are pretty much piss throughout that game.

The helicopter from the original Half Life - it hunts you for ages and you can't hurt it, then you finally get a rocket launcher and shoot it down :) Probably my favourite gaming moment ever.

Perseus in God of War II. The music was so damn epic, and the battle was awesome.

Fighting ganon in ocarina/twilight princess is pretty epic.

Taking out all the striders during the rebellion in Half life 2 was pretty memorable, not really a boss but a climactic part of the game anyhow.
