okay quick review.

Bass is a Steinberger Spirit, the so called budget-line.
I got mine for like 450 bucks about a year ago off ebay. I dont think they make them anymore.

sounds really good with stock pickups, can be real trebly or real bassy. Sound is similar to a j, but sounds nothing like a p bass. Sounds great fingerstyle or with a pick, but not really good for slap though. Neck feels a lot like a j, but a little chunkier. The bass never goes out of tune at all. :cool:

The only problem i had with it was with the double-ball strings. Part of the wrap was on the nut for a few of the strings. I got a string adaptor for 40 bucks and that solved the problem. Plus with the adapter you can use any kind of strings and not spend 30 bucks for a set. :)

^Well if you want a better choice for double-balled strings (one of the reasons I want a Steinberger because you can change the strings so quick) go to:

thanks duncster. I have found that i sound like that with almost any amp. I think it is mostly just the bass and strings i use.
