I thought that was a decent idea, considering that X-Men had been animated at that point, so the transition wasn't as bad.

Soul caliber is cool and all , but adding jedi is kind of dumb.

superman is unbeatable, unless your opponents have kryptonite, in which case he's abig pussy.

Batman is just a rich shmuck with no super powers and is no where near as cool as iron man....

Still, I think aesthetically speaking, Superman being able to be beaten by someone like Baraka is nonsensical.

I was thinking more in terms of the graphics style. Marvel vs Capcom was still 2d. Is this the first time DC characters have been in a 3d fighting game?

as with all fighting games, its really the game engine and what they do with it that will decide how good or bad this game is.

the interesting franchise selection will certainly draw people in, but if there are no fatalities, more than likely this game will fail.

I'm looking forward to this, but I'm also annoyed at the lack of fatalities and blood. They toned it down just cause they didn't want people ripping superman's head off. Boo.

The use of the Unreal 3 engine should be good though.

EDIT: I've been following it as well, I'm liking the MK characters that have bene announced. DC ones are pretty cool as well. Only really going to be playing as Batman, Joker or Green Latern from them though.

It's apparently getting some new additions like in-air Kombat. So you like fall from one level to another and grapple/battle whilst falling, which sounds interesting.

I guess they're jsut sticking to what themajority of people will recognise and remember seeing and therefore buy the game.

I always like seeing what they add to the MK characters, they always seem to make them look more badass.

Oh and I like throwing people through things. I always love uppercutting people through the ceiling on MK games, good stress relief.

I just played this for the first time last night and had a lot of fun. I mean, it's really no different from any Mortal Kombat game, but it's a winning formula. It's been a long time since I played an MK game, so it was enjoyable to sit down and play this all night with some friends.

They definitely could've included so many more characters. Marvel Vs. Capcom had about 80 characters or something, and this game only had 10 of each (MK and DC). That's my only real problem with it.
