what up everyone, been a couple weeks. Hows everyone? anyways I just put out a new song, called 'rise and believe' . I experimented with importing a fidel castro speech into it, trying to give it to that feel. Anyways let me know what you all think, thanks

While I don't agree with Luke 100%, the first 30ish seconds did seem a little upbeat.

I'll also admit that I really like vocal samples, but this one really didn't flow that well for me. I really liked your last two songs (External Internal and Visible Idea) so I think I was slightly dissapointed when the same didn't follow the same format as those.

From 1:45-2:15ish I quite enjoyed it. It reminded me of the riff from External Internal that I really liked. After that is sounded repetitive.

I can really appreciate the change in style though.

no, i listened to the whole song. I stand by my statement. maybe it isnt too upbeat in the notes you are playing, but the overall tone of it ... it just sounds too bright and poppy.

That said I really liked some of the riffs and the drums were pretty good, the riff at 2:06 is specifically awesome. I just don't like the generic speech thing at all.

its pleasing initially but it gets tiring and formulaic fast, at least to me

i prefer this other guys songs in the same style, the timbres and drumbeats he uses are better, and his riffs are much more memorable

Yeah, I'm the complete opposite. I dig Polak's songs, but most of them sound so similar to me. There is definitely more diversity in angry internet guy's music.

its mainly the fact that sade uses a lot of synth stuff and polak uses acoustic sounding drums and and real guitars, its more riff based which i prefer to sades cool synth sounds playing various chords.

both of their music is repetitive because neither really diverge a whole lot from what they do. (i do like both sade's and polak's works)

polak develops the riff pretty well throughout the song though, at a few points it makes you stop and think 'thats a bloody good riff'

that he does. but you can't really be making comparisons between raayl and polak... kind of entirely different styles of music. the only thing they have in common is that they both release a crap load of songs on here.

pretty much the same comment i have on all your songs: good, the transitions need to be more smooth. right when i start grooving to it it abruptly changes and im left going "**** this"

I'm afraid that different people have different tastes, and I find your music and the image you've created for it image boring and cliche, one of the least authentic internet artists I've heard in fact. Most people get over the 'pirate copy of reason and gimmicky vocals' stage after a month or 2.
