Listened to Easter last night and I had forgotten how much this band rules (even though Oxeneers is a bit better). Pumped for their split with Pelican. Discuss this band, favorite songs, etc.

Band rules, isn't that split the one where they are covering each others songs or something?

i dont know about that but they said they'd be doing a cover of heart shaped box

It's a split with Pelican where they redo one of their old songs and we added parts to it and we'll be redoing one of our old songs and they add their own flavor to it. Brilliant. We promise to not redo a shitty old song. Do we even have any of those? Aren't they all winners?
I blew it out of proportion in my mind. Should still be pretty awesome.

That Narrows band is sick. Rob from Unbroken/Some Girls is playing bass.

Pearly Whites is my favorite song from them. Band rules, I like Oxeneers a bit more than Easter.

More love for this band needs to be shown.

I like Oxeneer better, but Easter has really tight jams.

yeah oxeneers is better as an album, "Darlings Of New Midnight," "Gadget Arms" and the first three tracks are amazing. But they kind of just stick with one riff for a long time. Easter has that amazing guitar-bass (the intro to "Horse Girl" is like one of my favorite sounding riffs ever, holy ****) interplay for that technical sound but yet just isn't as strong as an album.

This is Meant to Hurt You is better than either of the full lengths but Oxeneers is almost as good.

I love that though, how they stick with the riff through the songs in Oxeneers. They are bad *** riffs too.

The guitar/bass/drum interplay on Easter is amazing though. I love the bass riffs on Easter way more.
