Hey all. It's been a while since I've posted here. But anyways, I have a recording. I had to do a recording for my grandfather who I haven't seen in years because someone (my mom, aunt?) told him that I play and he's never heard me. So they told him that I would make a CD or something.
Because I've got so much spare time on my hands, lol.
I made a quick recording of the hymn "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" and layered some instruments on top. Then I cut, copied, and pasted to spread the song out. I only played each part for the length of a verse. Piano was copied 3 more times. Guitar 2 more times, etc.
I had no real gameplan going into this recording and I actually had to end early because everyone came home last night and don't understand the importance of silence while miking instruments. Originally I was just going to pile instruments on top of each other and call it a day. But then I decided to spread them out.
I've got way too much going on to really work on it some more. It's a rough mix with many problems. Some timing. Some levels. Guitar is too quiet on the second verse. But yeah, enough talking. I put it together with a bunch of images of sunsets and landscapes because that's cool. :p
If you watch carefully (It's on YouTube), you'll noticed I looped the same pictures twice. Talk about lazy, right? :smash:
