Hey guys!

I recorded for the first time today and i recorded a somewhat of a Bossa style version of the Jazz standard Autumn Leaves on 2 basses (both played by me of course).

How's my playing/recording/composition etc?

Any comments at all are greatly greatly appreciated.
Thanks

p.s
im REALLY new to all this recording stuff!

Sounds pretty good. Not a fan of the effects though. The section you added in the middle of the head was pretty cool. Are you playing with a pick?

I found the effects and the fact that you didn't play the standard form very irritating. Otherwise I'm sure I'd like it a lot more but I can't really judge at this point.

The quality, mixing, and playing sounded alright (although with that much effect on the track it's harder to tell).

Thanks. Yeah its with a pick but the little teeny harmony section i played finger style, badly.

Yeah sorry EADGC. May i rephrase the thread topic with "sampled" autumn leaves rather than recording, perhaps.

i think it sounded good. maybe overkilled with the effects a bit, but otherwise it was good. the mixing was really consistent too
