Anyone know a good site for streaming TV shows?
My friend wants to find 'It's always sunny in Philadelphia'. I prefer BT, but he doesn't want to deal with it, so is looking for streaming...

Yeah it's called television.

Streaming on a computer is just retarded.

Ghoul Hustler

Why?

bradc1988
04-06-2008, 12:34 AM
Because you can just download a better copy off of torrents a whole lot faster and you can watch it anytime rather than hoping it might possibly be in my cache and I can maybe watch it again.

BrendonsHomeMovies

Being able to watch a huge variety of shows instantaneously without commercial interruption is retarded.

Come on man. Just watch it on your tv.

Okay so you download it on a torrent but that takes a few hours. I agree that the quality is better and its nice to have it on file but if you're just looking for something to chill with then streaming is perfect.

uh, most streaming works instantly anyway, so what's your point?

I downloaded the lastest South Park episode in about 12 minutes k bai.

The quality is shit and you have to reload that shit everytime you want to watch it. Also most servers are horrible and are drained to the point where they don't load instantly unless it's really crappy quality.

Edit: Oh wait it was in just under 10 minutes;

Oh and I'm not really sure how quick streaming sites are but I got that around 30 minutes after it aired.

Yeah and I was already ten minutes into watching it by then.

Oh wait. Kthxbai.

Not all is ****. It's not HD obviously but it's clear enough.

As for the speed, just get a better connection. I rarely ever have to reload and wait. Only if I have torrents up or something.

Of course you're not the files are so small and compressed that they're loading again rather than being reloaded from the cache = waste of bandwidth. Speeds are not the problem, time is.

Yeah and I was already ten minutes into watching it by then.

Oh wait. Kthxbai.

Yes 10 minutes into watching an inferior quality copy hours after I've already watched and downloaded mine which I can watch again anywhere any time.

kthx go away now

Bandwidth isn't always an issue. A good amount of people don't have limits (me included).

Well, we have fiber optic here at school, so not really an issue.

I can only download 21GB/month which goes quickly! And 14GB of that is in offpeak time!

And it costs too much!

I just use steaming on my Wii because the Opera browser can stream certain videos. My Wii is hooked up to my TV so I can just lay in bed watching streamed programmes.

And no, I can't be bothered to hook my TV up to my PC.

bradc1988
04-06-2008, 03:50 AM
I used to do that with youporn but then they updated their flash and the Wii didn't support it :(

i would agree with you if you made an exception to sports and other events that need to be seen live.

I stream sports all the time since i only have basic cable.

I never have a problem streaming high quality shows near instantly, and by streaming I don't fill up my hard drive with shows I only want to watch once. In fact, the majority of movies and shows I watch I only want to see once.
