I don't think the paint matters much, but you will want to finish it with some kind of poly spray. See stew-mac.com for supplies like that.

depends, if you want to do a cheap finish, go buy some car primer, and the paint color you want and some clear coat all in spray cans. Then spray bomb the mofo.
