nope thats just the unfinished black walnut slab. need to clean the edges, find the centerline, make the neck pocket, mark and route for pickups and bridge, make a control cavity in the back, round theeges, and contour the arm rest, and apply a finish. not to mention the neck pups, ect

its coming along alright. Woulda been a good idea to figure the center line out first but w/e.

Rounding the edges is straight forward, just use a router with the radius you want. The contours, I strongly recommend using a good rasp. mark out where you want on top and how deep you want to go on the side, then just have at er with the rasp. Round the edge first, it''ll be a bit easier.

Once you have your neck pocket figured, take the length from the end of the nut till the 12th fret and that will be how far from the 12th fret you'll need the saddles of your bridge. Make sense?

yea. my squier is in pieces. am making the pocket to fit its neck (still making my own though). will then mark where the screws go. i am using a badass II bridge witch is perfectly compatible with the bridge on my squier. the neck shape will be something like this

tryed one the other day, and loved it. anyone know its radius? well, going to make the neck laminate tomarrow and friday. purple heart and maple
