Hey guys! Thought I'd share my most recent adventure in music. Just a quick run through the head of this tune. Feel free to drop some comments!

I watched this, because your other vibe on myspace didn't seem to work for me.
I'm digging it...

But is there no solo?
And interesting grip.. cross grip?

Nice man! Yeah its cross or Burton (I can't tell which is underneath in the video). Those are usually favored by jazz vibists over the Musser/Stevens grip.

Nice stuff. I'd love to learn to play vibes.

Have you ever heard of Stefon Harris? He's a great jazz vibes/marimba player. Check him out sometime.

I saw a Stefon Harris masterclass at Wichita State.
Such an awesome person, with just an awesome band.

I had the hugest crush on him for a long time after I met him at jazz camp a couple summers ago. He was one of the instructors. He really is an awesome person, as well as a great teacher and performer.
Terreon Gully was there too so I got to study with him for a week. Great drummer.

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I'm not too sure which grip I use...I didn't even know there were so many!

Yeah, I've heard of all the big name jazz vibists you guys dropped in the thread. Unfortunately I haven't heard much music from them.

I've heard a little Milt Jackson, and I saw Dave Samuels live w/ Carribean Jazz Project.

And yeah, no solo because I don't quite have spontaneous enough comping and soloing abilities to put them together and make it sound good :(
