Is there any way for me to have it automatically subscribe me to every thread I post in?

User CP > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification. You can set it to email you instantly, daily, weekly, or not at all. Despite this, you will automatically subscribe if it isn't set to "Do not subscribe."
