I am selling this beauty, it sounds really good. The only possible flaw is a slight keyhole, but to be honest it doesn't make any difference in the cymbal. I have used the "never clean" approach so it has a nice buildup of **** on it, which adds to it's sound. Obviously you can clean it no problem.

I am in Alberta Canada, so I am not sure about shipping costs for you, but I will take $120 o.b.o. for it.

I'll post a picture soon.

If you don't sell this within about 2 or 3 weeks I'll probably buy it.

Can we see a picture of the possible keyhole-ing?

Or of the whole cymbal, that would be beneficial.

Ok Pick-a-churs, the keyhole is not big enough to cause the cymbal to stay in one spot on the stand, it spins freely and the keyhole is basically ireelevant. Check out the build up underneath, its beautiful.

You haven't heard "dry" until you have living organisms on your cymbal

can someone explain how keyholing happens or what causes it please? also, in general, how does it effect that sound?

It happens when the cymbal is on a stand where the there is nothing between the threads of the stand and the cymbal itself. You need the rubber sleeves to pretect the cymbal. I can honestly say that it does not affect the cymbal. It could affect the cymbal if it was deep enough that it caused the cymbal to sit in only one place, unable to spin, but even then it is not a huge deal. This ride does not have keyholing bad enough to stay in one spot.

It leads to cracking, which definitely does affect the cymbal.
