Go to your manual, look up "input monitor" (or possibly "monitor input," I can never remember how they phrase it). That should clear things up for you.

Thanks, what i have recently noticed that Cubase does pick up my MIDI controller but there is no sound. For example:
-Open a Midi Track and a Vst
-Set Usb Device as Input and VST as OutPut
-check levels on VST and midi Channel, Volume up
-Hit keys on Controller and Then:
*A blue bar next to the track and a Red bar at the bottom fill up
-And no vst activity.
Any Help PLZZ!?
Early Thanx to All

I think Moseph had it, you probably just need to press the little monitor button (it looks like a picture of a speaker on the button) that is next to the record enable button on the track. It will turn brownish then you should be good to go.
